Dan Gould
I'm afraid everyone's gonna go for "Blues March"
Alexander
I went for "Imperialism," although I'm surprised you didn't include a "Ok, if its the "Liberty Bell March" Used as The Monty Python Theme."
Guest mary mcgoon
Didn't vote because the right answer for me wasn't there. A lot of those marches are pretty clever little pieces of music, pretty inventive within the limitations of the form. There are some great melodies there. Sousa was also an excellent arranger and orchestrator. In small doses they can be pretty cool. I'm not going to let some dumb imperialists mess 'em up for me. Jazzmoose
I agree with the distinguished McGoon.
BruceH
Another vote for Mary's viewpoint. I couldn't vote for any of these. Now if there was one that said, "Important composer who deserves his proper due," then I'd vote for THAT.
