jazzbo Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Still an amazing and exciting cache! Quote
kh1958 Posted August 19, 2005 Author Report Posted August 19, 2005 I was napping that day. Been there, done that: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...1279&hl=amazing ← Quote
Michael Fitzgerald Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 That's very unfortunate - we did a signup and will be distributing CDRs of all the material. Sorry, the list has been finalized. You snooze, you lose..... Mike Quote
kh1958 Posted August 19, 2005 Author Report Posted August 19, 2005 So you don't want a CDR copy of the extremely rare LP Charlie Parker and Ornette Coleman Jam Session in Fort Worth, 1954? That's very unfortunate - we did a signup and will be distributing CDRs of all the material. Sorry, the list has been finalized. You snooze, you lose..... Mike ← Quote
Michael Fitzgerald Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 That has been disproven - it's actually Forrest Whitaker and Charles McPherson. Mike Quote
Aggie87 Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 I've got a rare vinyl of Pat Metheny & Kenny G together, I'd be willing to CDR for anyone, if I can get on Mike's list. It's OOP (obviously - waiting for the 20th anniversary reissue with previously unreleased tracks): Quote
Brad Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 That's very unfortunate - we did a signup and will be distributing CDRs of all the material. Sorry, the list has been finalized. You snooze, you lose..... Mike ← I missed this too. The list can't be changed? Doesn't that seem a tad arbitrary? Quote
Michael Fitzgerald Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 Didn't you read the memo about how "Going soon" and "Last chance" are now the same thing? Mike Quote
Brad Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 Since I'm a late comer on this topic, I won't get worked up about this but when you're making cdrs of something there's a difference between that and a Mosaic going oop. On the other hand, I do understand the need to put some finality to something also. So, while it may seem arbitrary, it's also understandable since you just keep extending something forever. Just sorry I missed it. If anyone wants to make a cdr of a cdr, I would be much obliged. Quote
Brad Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 Well, you know what they say about a sucker being born every minute. Gimme that lollipop Quote
Guy Berger Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 That has been disproven - it's actually Forrest Whitaker and Charles McPherson. Mike ← And besides, it's impossible -- we all know that when Charlie Parker "died" he really went into the Witness Protection Program, got plastic surgery and emerged as "Ornette Coleman" shortly thereafter. (I mean, come on, you thought "Ornette" was a real name?) Quote
Kalo Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 I can see the Village Voice headline now: "Coltrane comes Out of the Closet." Quote
