I know they didn't really play "together" all that much... just the occasional mentor/mentee stuff. Wish there was some stuff circulating that had Parker and McLean together! I was surprised he was still around. We had this record at home when I was a young'un. I didn't know he played oboe until I saw his name on the Bird recording. EDIT: I know the thread is about actual "disciples", and we're just listing anyone who played/recorded with Bird. Still interesting, though. This is (theoretically) all the people who recorded alongside Bird. If someone on that list is living, they've got a Bird Number of 1 (Bird himself would be 0).
