Bol Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 I've been really enjoying Von Freeman's recent recordings on Premonition. I'm wondering how the somewhat older SteepleChase recordings are. They are: Lester Leaps in Never Let Me Go Dedicated to You Anyone familiar with these? How are they? Is it true that electric piano is played on these recordings, as I've read somewhere? Thanks in advance. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 I prefer the SteepleChases to the Premonitions (as a group). No electric piano. Quote

relyles Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 I have Lester Leaps In and Never Let Me go. I think all of the material on the three Steeplechase discs was taken from the same recording sessions. Consistently rewarding music on the two discs I own. Quote
JSngry Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 I have all three and wouldn't take for them. Quote

John L Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 I also have all three and could be an alternate take for them. Quote
