Johnny E Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 For us, it was immediate. Been married since 1987. Main thing: she puts up w/ my crap! The woman must be a saint. Quote

PHILLYQ Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 The following is actually a true story: I met my wife at a wedding- she caught the bouquet and I caught the garter, and that's how we met. So, the first time I spoke to her I was pushing a garter up her leg in front of a lot of people! We hit it off very well(She was willing to put up with my musical tastes, even going to some concerts with me), and within 6 months we were living together. Within two years of the date we met we got married in a historic church(on the same site for 350 years), and this September we celebrate our 19th anniversary. Quote
mikeweil Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I met my wife and we were married 3 months later. We've been married 15 years now and have 2 kids. Guess ya kinda know. Well, we weren't that fast - when we met I still was in a relationship with another woman, but we noticed there was some type of "soul meeting". When I had split and called her to inform her about it, she almost dropped the phone. We married 5 months later and she moved in with me within another three. This year in August it will be our 9th anniversary. Also, before I met my wife...I never wanted to get married or ever thought I would. Same here. Quote

Do I read this correctly that she moved in with you three months after the wedding? Yes - we were living 350 kilometers apart at the time and had to find a job for her first near the town where I lived - I couldn't move to her town as my mum, whom I had to look after, was still alive back then. Lots of "Everytime we say goodbye, we die a little" moments, I assure you. Edited April 19, 2006 by mikeweil Quote
