Tjazz Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 How many were actually sold? (who has the highest number?) Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 18. Just got it yesterday. Joke. Quote
David Ayers Posted April 16, 2006 Author Report Posted April 16, 2006 I was sorry to pass on this set. On the one hand, an outstanding editorial venture. On the other, too much of a good thing for my tastes and budget. I certainly won't be buying the euro-criminal version though. Quote
jazzbo Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 (edited) I got a very early set upon release, with a low number, but that doesn't help. I really like this set. Edited April 16, 2006 by jazzbo Quote

Soul Stream Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 I still can't believe it sold out. I thought that one would be around till 2047 Quote
sidewinder Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 I still can't believe it sold out. I thought that one would be around till 2047 Must have timed-out. Either that or they couldn't justify another production batch before 'mandatory' timeout. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Bailey was a very interesting singer (of her time) with intelligent backgrounds. I think the old Columbia 3 lp set was about ideal for most folks. I'd buy that Legacy reissue in a minute. But I found the Mosaic set too big and too expensive for the music. I'm happy they issued the complete set and happy to not buy it. Berkshire has offered the Andoran reissue of 4 discs at "cut-out" prices and I've resisted that. Sorry Mildred. Quote
jazzbo Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 Yeah, I can understand that. I feel that way about AEC, I have a few sessions and that's enough for me! Quote
desertblues Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 How many were actually sold? (who has the highest number?) I received set #2183 last week and there were 32 sets remaining when I ordered, so that puts the total run at just over 2200. It's a great set - just the kind of thing Mosaic does best IMHO. The sound quality is absolutely amazing also. I was really on the fence about this one but glad I got it. Quote
