I was sorry to pass on this set. On the one hand, an outstanding editorial venture. On the other, too much of a good thing for my tastes and budget. I certainly won't be buying the euro-criminal version though.

Bailey was a very interesting singer (of her time) with intelligent backgrounds. I think the old Columbia 3 lp set was about ideal for most folks. I'd buy that Legacy reissue in a minute. But I found the Mosaic set too big and too expensive for the music. I'm happy they issued the complete set and happy to not buy it.

Berkshire has offered the Andoran reissue of 4 discs at "cut-out" prices and I've resisted that.

How many were actually sold?

(who has the highest number?)

I received set #2183 last week and there were 32 sets remaining when I ordered, so that puts the total run at just over 2200. It's a great set - just the kind of thing Mosaic does best IMHO. The sound quality is absolutely amazing also. I was really on the fence about this one but glad I got it. :tup
