Aftab Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 I just tried to change my avatar and when I upload it, it doesn't change. I tried deleting the current one, no dice. Deleting, then loggin off and back on, still goes back to old when I try to update image. The image I'm using falls within the criteria for an avatar image. Help!?!?! Quote
Aftab Posted May 2, 2006 Author Report Posted May 2, 2006 Jim - Can you delete the other topic with the same title? My computer hiccuped. Thanks! Quote
Aggie87 Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 If you go down to the bottom in that other thread, you should see a box that says "Moderation Options". In there you should see a choice to delete the topic yourself, as the creator of the thread. Quote
Dan Gould Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 I can't imagine why you are having trouble, since after the board problems, my avatar was dropped and I had no trouble replacing it with a new one. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Which avatar are you seeing? Did you try refreshing a couple times? Quote
.:.impossible Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 I've had really issues changing my avatar in the past. I couldn't ever tell what the problem was, but eventually it seems to resolve and the avatar goes through. Quote
7/4 Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 I see Bill Frisell holding a '69 Tele Thinline reissue. Nice! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 A lot of times the avatar actually changes, but your computer is holding dear to it's cache and thus loads the old one. Hitting "refresh" in the browser or right-clicking on the picture and choosing "view image" tends to work. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Yeah, I had to refresh about 4 times last time I changed it. Quote
Aftab Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 It must have been the cache/refresh thing - cuz there's Bill. Thanks! Quote
