ghost of miles Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Man: [quietly] "Well, sir, it has been an uneventful week in Badger Falls...where the women are robust, the men are pink-cheeked, and the children are pink-cheeked and robust." [Audience laughs loudly] Homer: "What the hell's so funny?" Man: "At the Apple Biscuit cafe, where the smiles are free, don't you know, Sven Inqvist studied the menu, and finally he ordered the same thing he has every day." [Audience laughs and applauds] Bart: "Maybe it's the TV." Homer: "Stupid TV. [Hits it] Be more funny! " Quote

RDK Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 I like his political viewpoint, but I just hate that insipid radio show! I don't care about his political viewpoint one way or the other - I'll listen to anyone so long as they're entertaining - but I agree completely about his insipid radio show. Quote
md655321 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Love the show, and the Simpsons scene. Thats a really old one though. Quote
Michael Weiss Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 Does anyone remember the episode where there's a box of "Jackie McLean Pizza" on the table? I saw this flash by in about a tenth of a second. Quote
danasgoodstuff Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 (edited) Prarie Home Companion insipid? I guess it helps if you've lived in MN, as I have, or have some connection to the Lutherans, as my wife does. Even then some times it's funnier than others, as is the Simpsons.
