Chalupa Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 What time does the band hit the stage? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Downbeat at 9pm. Be there!!! Quote
Ron S Posted October 2, 2006 Author Report Posted October 2, 2006 Downbeat at 9pm. Be there!!! Or be square!!! (Don't forget that part Jim. Nobody on this Board--and especially not Chalupa--wants to be a square. ) Quote
Templejazz Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I can't freakin wait! I'll be there......I'd like to meet some of you fellers too. Quote
Ron S Posted October 3, 2006 Author Report Posted October 3, 2006 The boys are on the road now, headin' for Philly. So WHO ELSE IS COMING TO CHRIS' TOMORROW? Quote
fasstrack Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Are they making NY? If so I'd like to say hi. Quote
Ron S Posted October 3, 2006 Author Report Posted October 3, 2006 Are they making NY? If so I'd like to say hi. Nope, Philly's as far north as they'll get this time. But they're playing 3 different clubs here between tomorrow and next Thursday, in case you want to make the trip down! Quote
Ron S Posted October 4, 2006 Author Report Posted October 4, 2006 Up for tonight. So anyone else coming besides Templejazz, Chalupa, and me? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 i don't like 'shrooms on my cheesesteak Quote
7/4 Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 (edited) Can't do it. I'm too burnt out from working. Although I live close to NYC and I popped in to town to make a brief cameo with a customer, then I had to zip back here to work on my Dads computer. When I got here about 2:30, I've been on the phone taking care of crap and trouble shooting shoftware that was working fine a year ago all afternoon. And there's more of this in the morning, so no trips to Philly today. Maybe I can hit one of the other two Philly gigs. Edited October 4, 2006 by 7/4 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 David, I hope you can come out next week. We tried hard to get something in NYC, but it just didn't pan out. We had WAY too much fun last night at Chris Jazz and met some fantastic board members. Chalupa and Templejazz were great and I even ran into an old friend from high school! But the coolest part was after the second set I went up to the bar to get some more water and who would you guess is sitting at a table in the back with his wife? Frickin' PAT MARTINO! He's a very gracious cat and was really complimentary towards the band. There were also a few people who had seen us on YouTube. So it's nice to know that site is working for us! All in all, it was a great debut in a beautiful city (I can see why my wife loves Philly) and a wonderful way to start the tour. Quote
Aggie87 Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 Cool on playin for Pat Martino!! I hope the HS friend wasn't that dude from Hi-5. My kids watch that show every morning.. Quote
Ron S Posted October 5, 2006 Author Report Posted October 5, 2006 They were smokin'! Believe you me, Pat saw a great show. Quote
Joe G Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Cool on playin for Pat Martino!! Man that was cool. Quote
sidewinder Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Frickin' PAT MARTINO! He's a very gracious cat and was really complimentary towards the band. That's great news ! Very cool - and Pat's a genuinely nice guy. Quote
