Next to none of them are.

AND - they're almost all scans off eBay, so their life is limited. If you like one, save it.

Also, on that Ammons thing, the little "The Master of the Tenor Sax" thing on the label strikes me as an indicator of just how truly popular Jug was once upon a time. Bet Prestige never put anything like that on a Rollins or Trane label. It's kinda touching really, because Ammons had a HUGE following, especially in the 50s, but the "real" jazz world hardly noticed. But seemingly insignificant things like a few words on a label help keep the truth alive.

I feel compelled to quote an unjustly maligned film, ISHTAR, which is about two untalented songwriters played by Warren Beatty and Dustin Hoffman. One of their songs has a lyric which goes something like this:

Telling the truth/Is a dangerous business/Honest and popular don't go hand-in-hand/If you learn to play the accordian/You'll never be in a rock and roll band

I have a Flying Fish cd called "Squeeze This!" by Those Darn Accordians. Favorite tracks include Fire, Pump It Up, Sing,Sing,Sing, and The Story of Lawrence Welk.
