Hi,

Maybe the Eurail pass will do: http://www.raileurope.com/us/rail/passes/e...l_flexipass.htm. The rail system in central Western Europe is usuallly very effective. Exceptions might be Poland and Finland.

European hostels: http://www.europeanhostels.com/fall/

Most larger cities are safe places if you keep out of drugs, dubious neighboorhoods, know where to go, don't run in the traffic etc.

You're coming to Europe to visit stadiums, and are willing to spend most of time on trains?

This site has info on the Eurorail pass: http://www.raileurope.com/us/index.htm

Edit: How many Genesis concerts are you planning to attend?

Struth! I didn't think that Genesis link was serious!

Have to say I'm now PLEASED you're not comiing anywhere near here, with your train of pop musicians.
