Guy Berger Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 (edited) I'm somewhat reluctant to watch this season -- last season was a big letdown and the incessant twists are getting over the top. But I'll watch at least the first four episodes. If you can only watch one show on Sunday, I'd turn to HBO and watch Rome instead. Guy Edited January 14, 2007 by Guy Quote
RDK Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 Wow, I thought last season was terrific! Looking very forward to this season and will be watching tomorrow night. Quote
Parkertown Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 My timers are all set to record the next four nights on Fox... Yep, that means... I plan to watch Idol. :tups Quote
Harold_Z Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 HBO always has more than one showing, so Rome will repeat 3 or 4 times this coming week. I guess that means I'll watch 24and catch Rome later on. I don't want to miss either. Quote

Guy Berger Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 Well, there's still plenty of time for the season to go down the toilet, but that was excellent. Guy Quote
Guy Berger Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 Did anybody else watch the 10 minute "prequel" to season 6 I just downloaded? I thought it was pretty pointless unless you really need to watch lots of Toyota product placement and Jack being tortured in China. Guy Quote
BERIGAN Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Well, there's still plenty of time for the season to go down the toilet, but that was excellent. Guy You are fickle! Ithought it was pretty good as well. One thing that seemed glaring to me(But they might not have been able to figure a way around it) was after 900+ people killed in Bus, subway, and train bombings....no show of police, and or military at the subway station??? No long slow check points??? Quote
clifford_thornton Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I only watched the first two seasons (on DVD), and thought things were getting a bit lame midway thru season two. I loved season one, though - totally great. Thing is, it's gonna be hard to get through 3-6 by the time 7 comes around! Quote

rachel Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I loved it, although I always love the first four hours. We'll see where this takes us. I, too, wondered about the lack of military/police/security in the subway. Given the racial profiling theme of the episode, it seemed odd that folks could enter the subway and just mill about as usual, especially 2 middle eastern young men with big attache cases. Of course, I'm a girl so I would love this moment: Jack finally is home after not speaking for 2 years and enduring horrific Chinese torture because of it, only to be told that the reason he's been released is to be murdered. His first word in 2 years is ...."Audrey". Quote
Guy Berger Posted January 16, 2007 Author Report Posted January 16, 2007 That was a depressing ending. On the plus side Nadia is a babe. Guy Quote
Dave James Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 On the plus side Nadia is a babe. Guy No argument here. Babe may not be sufficient. Up over and out. Quote

chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 wait what was the prequel like? was it really crazy? i thought it was good but it would of been better if edgar's ghost came back to help jack and assad. also beware of that nadia i dont trust her as far as i can throw her- and besides, shes got nothin' on berroz'es mom-- remember her???? Quote
Guy Berger Posted January 16, 2007 Author Report Posted January 16, 2007 wait what was the prequel like? was it really crazy? No. As I said, you get to see Jack tortured by the Chinese and tons of product placement for Toyota. Season 2 went down the toilet after the nuclear bomb went off in episode 12. This year they couldn't even hold out until episode 5! Guy Quote
Harold_Z Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 ..........So DOCTOR ROMANO is Jack's brother !!????! Quote
RDK Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 ..........So DOCTOR ROMANO is Jack's brother !!????! With a (presumably) bionic arm! Quote
RDK Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Seriously, though, great twist! Didn't see that coming. Quote
Guy Berger Posted January 23, 2007 Author Report Posted January 23, 2007 Is it just me or is Jack especially torture-happy this season? I thought it was strange that he would torture his own brother just to find out where their dad is. Guy Quote
Harold_Z Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Nah...Jack is Jack. I think Romano mentioned somtehing about China right before Jack started in on him. That tipped his hand. How would anybody know about that if they weren't involved? Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 that is so crazy jacks brother is beind everything that happened last season-- its the same guy, rememnver, the guy who would always be talking to president logan on his little headset phone thing? its the same guy! it is so insane Quote

Guy Berger Posted February 7, 2007 Author Report Posted February 7, 2007 The pool full of ill-tempered sea bass can't be too far away. diks, I'm not sure what you mean. It's not like this episode was any more ridiculous than the other ones. Guy Quote

It's not like this episode was any more ridiculous than the other ones. Guy agreed, yug. It's just that I was hoping that things might get better. They haven't. Morris being the "engineer"... Jack's dad being "behind it all"... both were totally predictable, and totally lame. What's that commercial say? "Jack Bauer: America's answer to James Bond"?? Either that, or America's answer to Austin Powers... Edited February 7, 2007 by Uncle Skid Quote
