Programming no longer works on it. My best option is to shoot a message to a buddy who has Tivo, and try to watch it the next time I visit. Quote

Put in a blank tape on 6-hour mode (make sure it's rewound), and hit the record button around Midnight. You'll catch everything all night long -- for at least 6 hours. (No "programming" needed.)
