Noj's snorkling story:

In 2004 I went to Hawaii for the first time, spending a week with several friends in Maui. I bought some cheap snorkling gear before I left and one day in the middle of the week we headed to a popular snorkling spot. I got my gear on, anxious to explore coral reefs and enjoy the dazzling array of multi-colored wildlife. There was a slight drop off the beach into the water, so I took a small leap into the ankle-deep water, bumping the backside of my left leg on the way in. I started swimming around and was pleased to see lots of fish in my general area, seemingly not the least bit disturbed by my presence. Then I started to notice the fish were following me, and a slight twinge from my left leg clued me in to what was going on. A cut on my leg was steadily chumming the water with my own blood, and the fish were enjoying the flavor! I'm glad there weren't any sharks in the vicinity.

i'm gonna get a blue peacock cichlid soon

Those guys are aggressive. I'd think twice before buying one of those cannibals.

hate 2 admit conn is correct

2 of these in the tank ain't a good idea

one kept picking on the other and never really gives the guy a break

i got a good deal on a 30 galllon tank ~ $55 sans cover and light

gonna set it up today with sand bottom

i picked up a ~ 10 small various African Cichlids ($3 each @ petco)

i had to upgrade by filtration on my 90 gallon tank, so i will use one of the old filter on the 30 gallon tank

on a sad note

another $35 fish is in deep trouble

i'm gonna buy another 10 gallon tank and throw him in there and cross my fingers

another one jumped out and another died

:tdown

Damn Bo, I was about to say "with your bad luck with fish you're going to need your septic tank pumped out," but then I noticed you're in LA and probably don't have one. Maybe you oughta do like me and stick with broiled and fried fish(?). :)

Anyhow, hope your fish luck changes.
