FIFA, as usual, doing their utmost to devalue the tournament.

But I'll be glued to lots of it and be cheering on an overrated (here at least) England team. Expecting France or Spain to win it. Argentina and Portugal as outsiders.

There was an article in the NYT last week or so how Argentine fans are doing whatever they can, including going into debt, to go to the Cup. Crazy at those prices.

Seems like there is less interest this time around. I was surprised that my 8 year old who is football mad had barely identified that it was coming. 

For my part I am still recovering from last night's walk home from seeing Mike Cooper at Cafe OTO to Angel.
