Reptet West Coast Tour

Reptet, “a juggernaut jazz band, arresting, compelling, and just plain cranked-up” (Earshot Jazz), is headed down the west coast this December in support of their highly acclaimed 2006 release Do This!

“This Seattle sextet does it all: it grooves, it rocks, it squawks – occasionally, it even talks. Mostly it sounds like a New Orleans jazz band on crystal meth.” (Alexander Gelfand / Jazziz- Critics Pick, Best of 2006)

Best of luck to you guys. I hear you're coming east again sometime - looking forward to that!

Yes indeed. Looks like Chicago/Michigan in early April. Hopefully we can do some double bills! :)

Excellent! Very much looking forward to seeing you guys again... that was quite a show you guys put on in Grand Rapids last time!

Don't forget the Penguin suit! :)

Yes, terrific show last time!

John, you guys have a new album to go with the tour?

We're going into the studio after our west coast tour, right after the holidays (first week in january) to record the next CD. So no, we won't have a new CD for this tour, but we're gonna try to have a new CD by the east coast trip in April.

Umm... no Philly dates????

Don't worry, we'll be playing Philly in April. I grew up there and my mom still lives there. She gives the band a place to stay and feeds us well (Italian Mother).

But since Rick at the Tritone died I'm not sure what's happening there. What's the best place in Philly fr us now, do you know?

Tritone is definitely still happening. You might want to get in touch w/ the guys who run R5 Productions. They book mostly indie rock all ages shows but they are all over the musical map. www.r5productions.com Johnny Brenda's is really cool new spot that opened earlier this year. Probably the best room to play in Philly. http://www.johnnybrendas.com/ Oh almost forgot about the Khyber. http://www.thekhyber.com/

Just wanted to bring this back up since we hit the road on Saturday (that is, unless I-5 between Seattle and Portland is still washed out by then).

I hope all my west coast board friends can make it out to the shows. Come say hi. I'll be the sweaty drummer drinking a belgian ale in the corner.

I'm looking forward to the date at Chop Suey. And good luck with the I-5 situation! It looks like one hell of a mess as of today's news...

A very fun show, rather sparsely attended, alas. I liked all 3 bands actually, and Reptet did put on a great show.

Good to meet you Johnnie! I look forward to listening to the CD as well.

Isaak seems pretty crazy...
