Japanese mini lp cds Blue Note 24 bit reissues

Recommended Posts

I am sorry is this seems like spamming but I have taken on a task that may be a little beyond me, I am selling a consignment of around 350 mini lp papersleeve Japanese reissues, 99% of which are now out of print. The have a 2500Yen list and are all new; some are promo copies which came from a former manager of EMI Australia. I started out selling on Ebay with a mixed degree of success but with Ebay the fees and all such any margin out of the thing (at this point in tiem I would like to say anybody who does Ebay on a full time basis have my unreserved admiration). If it is not etiquette in this forum to ask if anyone would like a list of what I have then I apologise.

These look and sound great. Prices $US15 and up. Average around $US18

My email steve@yesterdayandtoday.com.au

I have had a store in Sydney Australia for some 20 years and in general don't do a lot of jazz. Any assistance whatsoever, even telling me go get stuffed (a well known Australian insult which may or may not transcend international borders).

I would be only too pleased to send a list (or post a list even if allowed)

Thank you

steve

It's sounds like you have some Japanese RVG CDs. Do the obi strips say "RVG" in large letters? $15-18 is about right these days for these RVG discs. Some titles could bring more, particularly if it's a title that only came out in Japan. The US market seems to have soured on these discs, especially with many of them coming out domestically. It could also be that it's because they pressed so darn many of them.

If you have a list, I'd like to see it as there are a few titles that I might go for. Feel free to PM me with it.

Yes, please post a list. You can PM the list to me as well, if you wish. I'd love to see what you have!

You should probably also publish your shipping rates to the USA. I know it's very expensive when I mail anything from the USA to Down Under. But I agree, by all means, go ahead and publish your list.

with Ebay the fees and all such any margin out of the thing (at this point in time I would like to say anybody who does Ebay on a full time basis have my unreserved admiration).

I'm also very soured on Ebay this morning, as paypal just ripped me off for $43 plus all their listing and selling fees by issuing a bogus refund to an unethical buyer. Had no real response from them to the evidence I submitted, just auto responses from a machine and canned responses from the paypal customer service androids. So I'm very sympathetic to your plight. Anyone doing Ebay fulltime has my unreserved sympathy.

Wow. That's unfortunate, but good to know. I was about to put a bunch of (cheap) LPs up on eBay. Think I'll just take 'em to Forever Young instead.

I have moved some LPs on eBay in the past, and it is the biggest hassle of them all. After making too much money in 2007 [selling CDs, mostly; some LPs] I did my bookwork and discovered that I will be paying taxes this year on it. Further work reveals that it really isn't worth my time, given the PayPal and eBay cuts taken. I, too, will add to the chorus: Anyone doing Ebay fulltime has my unreserved sympathy. I once approached it with enthusiasm, but after seeing the actual profits, I am out of the game in 2008.

On topic, I would love to see the list!

Here it is:

(Unless there's more than one, the Wynton Kelly's gone, 'cause I bought it!)

Japanese Mini lp cd 24 bit Jazz Reissues.

Thanks for viewing this list. It is quite long and most titles are out of print in this format. This is the papersleeve format which exactly replicates the original lp packaging. Personally I think these are the best sounding cds you will ever hear and rate them better than similar US jewel case reissues. The Japanese seemingly have a knack of getting better reproduction from masters.

These were purchased from a former EMI Australia manager and are all new though some are not sealed. In the list below not sealed cds are denoted *. There are also quite a few sample or promo copies which have a sticker on the back (P). These stickers measure approx. 1” x ½” but are easily removed if peeled slowly. A small amount of steam gets it off even easier.

I have been in business with a store in Sydney, Australia for 19 years. I also do sell some items on Ebay. My i.d. is SteveSWR53 and I have a 100% positive feedback.

I can do paypal for any of these or mastercard/visa. My paypal

i.d. is steve@yesterdayandtoday.com.au which is also my email address. If you chose to pay by mastercard or visa you can fax me, or call me (hours 8am-5pm Monday – Friday, 9am-4pm Saturday). Note Sydney time is 5 hours behind US West Coast and 8 hours behind US East Coast. Also sending credit card numbers over 2 emails is a very safe way of doing things.

Please send an email initially with any titles you may be interested in and I will confirm availability and postage. Postage to US/Europe starts at $5 for 1cd/ $8 for 2 cds. 9 cds can go for $16 to USA and $20 Europe. All prices in US dollars.

Please feel free to ask for more information and if you think I may have been a bit high on some things let me know.

FIRST COME FIRST SERVED

Kind Regards

Steve
