Homefromtheforest
Watched that a few days ago; amazing footage. If you explore the site you'll find lots of other ECM related videos! Just use the search feature. For example there's a late 70s gig with Garbarek, Towner, and Abercrombie too.

Homefromtheforest
There's a great late 70s Rypdal gig too! Some more Jan Garbarek, Karin Krog, Sidsel Endresen, a 80s ECM documentary etc...

I always really liked his solo ECM recordings. The solo guitar albums are legendary, but one of - maybe, the first - Jazz albums I got was the 1st Solstice album on ECM. I remember reading about him in Guitar Player when I was a kid. They made him interesting by pointing out that he played Jazz not just on classical guitar, but also on 12-string guitar, so I had to check him out. Solstice is a really wonderful album. Milestones
Happy birthday to Mr. Towner. Another thread is discussing Gary Burton, and I must recommend the two collaborations between Towner and Burton: Matchbook and Slide Show.
