Philip Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Anyone any inside information? Like the Jacquet and just ordered the Ellington. Quote
Matthew Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Nothing inside but I would imagine that the next in line would be The Complete Atlantic Recordings of Lennie Tristano, Lee Konitz & Warne Marsh (#174). Its been around for a long time, and it seems as if Mosaic wants to clean up the ones that are older. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 I'm sweatin' the J.J. set; I just know I'm gonna blow it... Quote
mikeweil Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 The Mobley and Blue Mitchell are likely candidates. Where to start, where to stop. I'd like to have that Ellington, but can afford it only by the end of the month ... Quote
Free For All Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 I'm sweatin' the J.J. set; I just know I'm gonna blow it... I don't think you want to miss out on this one, Moose! Just blow off the electric bill. Quote
AfricaBrass Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Moose, The JJ set is good 'un! Don't miss out. I thought Bobby Jaspar was great on it. Mike, At least the Ellington was available in stores. You'll probably be able to get a copy even after it goes out of print at Mosaic. I was able to get my Kenton set a year after it went out of print at Mosaic. Good luck! :rsmile: Quote
Matthew Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 I'm sweatin' the J.J. set; I just know I'm gonna blow it... I'm just going by the set number. JJ's is #169, so that has be in running. Quote
sidewinder Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 The Teddy Wilson vinyl set must be coming up for retirement soon too ... Quote
