Big Al Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Been trying to find the complete lists of Fantasy K2's, Prestige RVGs, and Riverside Keepnews CDs. Concord has the list hidden somewhere (assuming they still have the list), and Google searches turn up nothing. Can any of y'all help? Quote
AndrewHill Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 I have a printed list of the K2's. . Give me some time and I'll type it in... Quote

Chuck Nessa Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Al, you should note I probably deleted individual Monk/Prestige and Evans/Vanguard discs since I have the boxes. Quote

Big Al Posted June 4, 2008 Author Report Posted June 4, 2008 (edited) Here's an interesting couple of stats: ALBUMS ISSUED BY FANTASY/CONCORD AS K2, SACD, AND RVG/KEEPNEWS (not counting AP SACDs, DCCs, etc): Cannonball Adderley in San Francisco (Riverside/Keepnews) Art Blakey - Caravan (Riverside/Keepnews) Kenny Burrell and John Coltrane (Prestige/RVG) John Coltrane - Lush Life (Prestige/RVG) Relaxin' with the Miles Davis Quintet (Prestige/RVG) Bill Evans - Portrait in Jazz (Riverside/Keepnews) Bags Meets Wes (Riverside/Keepnews) MJQ - Django (Prestige/RVG) Thelonious Monk - Brilliant Corners (Riverside/Keepnews) The Incredible Jazz Guitar of Wes Montgomery (Riverside/Keepnews) Sonny Rollins - Tenor Madness (Prestige/RVG) Sonny Rollins - The Sound of Sonny (Riverside/Keepnews) NOTE: Every Prestige K2 that was issued as a SACD has now been issued as a RVG. ALBUMS ISSUED BY FANTASY/CONCORD K2 AND SACD (which will likely show up soon as Keepnews Editions) Cannonball Adderley - Things Are Getting Better Chet Baker in New York Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane* Bill Evans - Explorations Thelonious Monk - Monk's Music* Mulligan Meets Monk *Yes, I know this was recently re-issued as a Complete collection, but so what? Think Concord WON'T try to milk that cow again? Edited June 4, 2008 by Big Al Quote
David Ayers Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 You know, I found this thread because I searched for a K2 list on google. This page was the first link! That confirms this site as a top source of jazz information on the internet (and it's not the first time that happened). But now I have the list (uhh, without Monk/Evans sets which I own already though that isn't supposed to stop you 'upgrading' them) I've just gone back to my usual sense of queasiness in the face of oceans of reissues of these same damn titles...
