AndrewHill Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 i had a Haiku poem for Serena's booty well..... let's here it! Quote
AndrewHill Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 GO Venus Yeah, I want an American woman to win it! Its been way too long. And I have to admit that I had Safina pegged to win the semi and Serena wiped the floor with her. I don't think that Jankovic has a prayer against her. Quote
AndrewHill Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 GO Venus waitaminute...u mean Serena...right? Quote
AndrewHill Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 i was confused for a sec No prob...still like to hear ur poem though Quote

AndrewHill Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Rafa out and Murray has won two of his three meetings with RFed...should make for an interesting match tomorrow! Quote
AndrewHill Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Serena's the new 2008 US Open Champ and the new world's no. 1; not a bad night! PS: Soul Station: did you catch the slow-mo shots of Serena? Quote
Patrick Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 That was an exciting end to the second set. Each player erasing a triple break point situation. Serena could beat me up, ...easily. Quote
AndrewHill Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Yeah, it was a good final. Serena didn't drop a set, which is impressive when considering Venus and Jankovic in the ranks. I thought it was kind of amusing how Jelena wanted more time on the mike. She needed to make it to a final to at least give a non-point tally reason to justify her no. 2 ranking-so congrats to her for achieving that! Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 my sister says serena is more ripped than LL Cool J Quote
AndrewHill Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 For whatever reason, CBS (at least in my area) is not broadcasting the men's final...have to watch a live webcast instead Quote
Van Basten II Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 For whatever reason, CBS (at least in my area) is not broadcasting the men's final...have to watch a live webcast instead Same here, however RDS the Quebec equivalent of ESPN does Quote
Van Basten II Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 Bravo Roger, still the man. Quote
AndrewHill Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 13 big ones. Made history tonight with five consecutive US Open grand slam titles. And what a class act; Roger always has positive remarks for his opponents and the game. Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 13 big ones. Made history tonight with five consecutive US Open grand slam titles. And what a class act; Roger always has positive remarks for his opponents and the game. When is the last time someone wasn't gracious toward their opponent during the ceremony? I'm not saying Roger hasn't always been a class act but I wouldn't say that's the best example of it. Anyway, glad that he showed everyone that reports of his demise were premature. I enjoyed watching Murray beat Nadal but someone needs to tie him down and shave that pathetic excuse for a beard off. Even if he only grows it during the tournament - even Borg wasn't that patchy. AndrewHill Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 (edited) When is the last time someone wasn't gracious toward their opponent during the ceremony? Not necessarily during a ceremony, but Djokovic comes immediately to mind when he chastised Roddick last week for his innocuous comments on his 'injuries' even though Roddick said he was kidding around. Djokovic managed to get an entire stadium to boo at him. I never thought Djokovic's impersonations of Sharapova and Nadal were in good taste either. But, that's just me. Yeah well I should have explicitly disqualified anyone who looks like a Serbian serial killer. Federer beating Nadal would have been the cherry on top but whipping Djokovic was pleasant in and of itself. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 (edited) WTF USA or CBS didn't show the final? was that the plan or was it from the rain delays and such....... we can't watch the US Open in the freaking USA....LOL Edited September 9, 2008 by Soulstation1 Quote

So if your local affiliate showed Oprah instead, bitch at them. Quote
