AndrewHill
looking forward to the S. Williams v. D. Safina match. If memory serves, Safina won the most US Open series points which means if she wins the US Open, she'll earn a total 2.5 mil.
Dan Gould
I like the night matches under the lights. Its the only grand slam that has night matches (pretty sure the Australian doesn't). I'm pretty sure the Australian does though maybe its harder to tell since they have the retractable roof if the heat is too much. But I'm certain Australia has night matches, the reason Wimbledon and the French don't is the refusal to install lights on these "sacred" grounds. Wrigley got over it; they can too. AndrewHill
Horrendous first set for Roddick... ...and a great first set for Djokovic. Hats off to Muller for playing an A-class match against RFed. Edited September 5, 2008 by Holy Ghost
Van Basten II
For a guy on the verge of agony in his last match, Djokovic looks good
Van Basten II
Roddick has finally gotten into the game while the Djoker shows some mental fatigue.
Van Basten II
They finally met in a very fine 4th set, but the Djoker just had more tools to defeat Roddick than the American had tools to beat Djokovic. Will be a hell of a super saturday, Federer-Djokovic, Nadal-Murray and the ladies final who will give us a new number 1.

Van Basten II
Apparently Djoko was critical towards the fans after the game, gotta say that they had a nasty edge last night, it was sure noisy when the Serb was serving, felt at times during a Davis Cup match... Apparently he didn't care for Roddick's sarcastic remarks about all of his injuries. I guess he had to get that off his chest with 20 some-odd thousand fans. Probably didn't make any new friends that night.
AndrewHill
Huge Super Saturday coming up (weather permitting) Jankovic v. S. Williams (have to side with Serena taking the championship) and the two much-anticipated semi's between Murray v. Nadal (have to give the nod to Rafa) and RFed v. Djokovic (which should prove to be more interesting).
Van Basten II
Wouldn't dare pick a winner in the men semis, all 4 guys are really the cream of the crop. I'll be pulling for Nadal and Feds though. Never saw one match of Jankovic so i can't really comment on her chances.
T.D.
Huge Super Saturday coming up (weather permitting) ... I doubt the weather will permit much play on Saturday. Sunday should be OK.
Van Basten II
According to the web site, there is a possibility that both semis could be played at the same time :bwallace2:

Van Basten II
The game was not what it could have been but at least we had a game, let's hope Nadal makes it through so we can get another classical final.

AndrewHill
Rafa does not look his usual self. Surprise two sets up on Rafa! Andy deserves his new no. 4 ranking. Now we have to wait until 4pm tomorrow to see the conclusion? So, what does that mean for the men's final? (I've been watching OSU v. OU at the same time and have kinda lost track with what the hell is going on with all of the delays/rescheduling).
