Soulstation1 Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 Anyone see this one? DeNiro + Pacino = Nuff Said Quote
Alexander Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 Had this been made thirty-odd years ago, it might have been an interesting pairing. Both men have become caracatures of themselves, however, and tend to chew the scenery. The only thing worse would be to add Jack Nicholson to the line-up. Quote

Damn, that's being hard, considering the great movies credited to each of their careers. Quote

marcello Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 I just saw it and couldn't wait for it to be over. Bad writing, silly story and lackluster acting by the big boys. But truth be told, they had crap to work with. They are getting to old to be acting like tough guys. Quote

Damn, that's being hard, considering the great movies credited to each of their careers. Deniro's last unequivocally great role was in "Goodfellas" which was made eighteen years ago. I can't even remember the last really GREAT performance I've seen by Pacino. It certainly wasn't "The Godfather III" which was an abortion. Quote

AllenLowe Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 (edited) aren't those guys too old to be detectives? I mean, I was offered the cheerleader part in that Kristen Dunn movie and I turned it down - I just don't look as good in pom poms as I used to - and I'm tired of the audience trying to look up my skirt - Edited September 15, 2008 by AllenLowe Quote

BruceH Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Yep, looks like purely a "paycheck" movie. Quote
