Who are these musicians?

I am trying to find out who these musicians are in this photograph and possibly who took the photograph. I was told Max Roach is in the photo.

A friend gave me this print - it was being used to board up a

window in his old apartment - and I've always wondered who it

was a photograph of.

Any leads are most appreciated!

I won't pretend to identify the saxophonist, but I think that's Tommy Potter on bass. . . and if i it IS. . . .

To me this bassist looks more like George Morrow - so that would be Harold Land's or Sonny Rollins' tenor, Teddy Edwards' being a remote possibility.

I think this photo is like the video tape in the movie "The Ring." Everyone who stares into the ghostly image dropped here seemingly innocently by a stranger, will have some horrifying musical experience in 7 days.

The mouthpiece would be Rollins' not Land's. Land played metal, iirc.
