B. Goren. Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 http://www.jazzloft.com/c-29-special-sale.aspx Archie Shepp- "I Know About The Life" is recommended and also John Carter / Bobby Bradford - "Seeking". Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 There are some very fine discs on this list. Damn! I'm broke for a couple more days but Allen Lawrence will be tapping in to my $$$ again soon. Warne Marsh fans should note that Ne Plus Ultra is also on the list... Quote
Uncle Skid Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 "you must buy three or more CDs" I would guess that means three or more of the items on sale, but I put just one (Braxton-79) in my cart, and it showed the sale price of $6.49. I added two other (non-sale) CDs to the cart (Braxton Quartet London and Rudresh Mahanthappa - Apti)... we'll see what happens! Quote
Van Basten II Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Bought the Braxton79 lately in a used CD store, great stuff, recommanded. Quote
ep1str0phy Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 (edited) Just plunked down for the Marsh, Braxton, and New Dance. Edited January 20, 2009 by ep1str0phy Quote

ep1str0phy Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Here's an obliquely written review I did of the Lacy Baden-Baden record (back in 2007): Steve Lacy: New Jazz Meeting Baden-Baden 2002 I'll have to dig it out again to see if my perspective has changed. The music, I recall, resembles some of Lacy's experiments with tape, this time assembled in real time. Quote

mjzee Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 I was going to order, but they're no longer offering 2 of the 3 I was interested in (the Marsh and the Braxton). Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 I was going to order, but they're no longer offering 2 of the 3 I was interested in (the Marsh and the Braxton). Same here... The Marsh was really the only one that I was salivating over. Oh well, too late. Quote
