Lazaro Vega Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 For ages the All Music Guide included little shopping carts next to releases they wrote about and you could click through and find were they were for sale. Great feature. No longer on the site. Is this a recent development? Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Not "for ages" - only a couple of years at best. Rarely used it. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 The feature was there as recently as a month or two ago. I used to use it quite a bit to quickly get to an Amazon or half.com entry for an item. Wonder why it went away?? Surely venders weren't charging the AMG to provide those links? It would only be in their interest to do so. Kinda weird. Quote
Bill Nelson Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Probably too many "This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer" link responses. AMG would have to hire a full-time checker just to verify the availability of product. Instead, they may have resolved,"Why do we need to promise each CD can be purchased immediately?" Quote

You should be using the Organissimo link to Amazon. I do, I do!!! (Well, more often than not.) I'm forever checking the price (used) on 10 or 20 times as many discs as I ever actually end up buying. Lazaro Vega Posted March 13, 2009 Author Report Posted March 13, 2009 Reponse: Hi Lazaro, Thank you for your feedback. We are currently undergoing some changes in the "buy" section of the website. It will be back up again as soon as the changes are complete. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Thanks for visiting AMG! Best Regards, AMG Quote
GregK Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 never used it. Didn't even know it was there. Quote
Shrdlu Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Well it's easy to go to Amazon Dot Com. I'm amazed at the vast amount of recordings that they have available - just about anything you care to name. And almost always, they list sellers with very low prices. If the Amazon price is $12.99, say, there will be someone offering it for something like $3.69. Quote
