i watched the post fight press conference, and read the sports page this morning. looks like Mr. Jones' reputation won the fight for him. he looked like he got his ass kicked.

Tarver should get a re-match, but Jones said that if he doesn't get to fight Tyson next he'll hang it up (yeah right). he did say it was very hard for him to lose 25 lbs for this fight. and from the clips i saw, he was sluggish (not in a good way).

I won some coin in a pool since I had Jones in 12, but I've got to admit I thought Tarver was the winner.

Newspapers said Jones weighed 187 lbs when he arrived on Thursday. He made 175 lbs at the weigh in. It's a miracle he didn't get k.o.'d! How you going to have anything left when you've got to lose that much weight so fast? It's not like the guy was a blimp at 187 lbs.

I dont't know the game that well, but I saw the fight, and thought the decision was pretty scandalous. I thought that US judges tended to favour the aggressor in a points decision? Anything but the other night.
