Teasing the Korean Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Why do they go to the trouble to create these programs, but make it so difficult to do anything with them? Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 It called selling you an upgrade. The next version will be user friendly. Quote
Shawn Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 It called selling you an upgrade. The next version will be user friendly. No, you'll never get "friendly" just "friendlier"..."friendly" would kill off any reason for further updates. Quote
tkeith Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Actually, as movie makers/video editors go, iMovie is very intuitive. It's got minimal powers, but will allow you to create simple DVDs as well as recording from your iSight camera very easily. Quote

Yeah, I was going to say the same. iMovie is about the best simple video editing program out there. If your having troubles with iMovie, there's a load of tutorials in the program and on Apple's site that will walk you through the program. And to anyone thinking there's a more user friendly upgrade to iMovie, umm, no. The next step up in Apple's line is Final Cut which is less intuitive than iMovie by far. It's also much more powerful. However, as someone who used to edit video for a living, I'll take Final Cut Pro over Premier any day. Now Premier is non-user friendly. Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted May 23, 2009 Author Report Posted May 23, 2009 Thanks for the replies. I have a 22 minute file that I'm trying to break into smaller chunks. I'm used to doing this with audio programs and it seems way more complicated than it should be. Then again, I'm just starting to use this program. I'll figure it out. Thanks again! Quote
