Drew Peacock Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 I didn't know that Claus Ogerman arranged and orchestrated her latest CD. I'm going to have to keep this news away from the wife. She's a huge Krall fan and I am not. I thought Claus was in retirement, good to see that I'm wrong. Why is Russell Malone no longer her guitar player? Quote
Van Basten II Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 Guess he has his own career to take care of. Can be wrong but it has been a while they've been playing togething Quote
Niko Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) I didn't know that Claus Ogerman arranged and orchestrated her latest CD. I'm going to have to keep this news away from the wife. She's a huge Krall fan and I am not. for my girlfriend krall is up there with albert ayler ("99,9% of jazz are either kitsch or noise or both", and those two are among the worst from that point of view) Edited June 25, 2009 by Niko Quote
Ted O'Reilly Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 "for my girlfriend .....99,9% of jazz are either kitsch or noise or both" Well, Niko, I trust she has other qualities. Got any pictures? Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 "for my girlfriend .....99,9% of jazz are either kitsch or noise or both" Well, Niko, I trust she has other qualities. Got any pictures? Haven't checked the statistics since the '70s, so she might be correct. Quote

Got any pictures? imho 99,9% percent is a pretty high figure and unlike her i enjoy listening to kitsch and/or noise from time to time - but then how many girlfriends agree that lucky thompson is much better than diana krall, norah jones, keith jarrett and albert ayler alll rolled into one (and yes ,that's not her only quality) Quote
