mikeweil Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 That's great - wish I could be there. I love French Horn, and Julius in particular. All jazz French Hornists are special. Quote

AndrewHill Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Wow! Big fan of Watkins, especially the BN 10inchers. Too bad I don't live anywhere near Seattle. I see that one of the presenters, Patrick Smith, has an upcoming book on Watkins. That could be a very interesting read. Does anyone know anything about Patrick Smith? Is this his first book? Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 i should tell u guys right now theres a 98.333334 chance i won't make it to this........i wish em the best though Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 There's a 99.333334 percent chance that I will be there and will be happy to report on the proceedings. Recently heard Tom Varner with John Sinton's Ideal Bread West playing the music of Steve Lacy and he was brilliant as usual. Quote
