Calling All Andrew Hill Completists...

If you simply have to have every Andrew Hill composition ever recorded , then you may be interested in this auction of a Ping 10" 78 that has two Hill compositions that only appeared on Ping . The discographical particulars are here , and the usual disclaimers apply....not my auction , don't have any pecuniary interest therein , and perhaps most importantly , I won't be bidding against you - I'm holding out for the 45 rpm version :blush2:

I bid on it - a little over one-tenth of the winning bid. I love 78s, but they are still just highly breakable objects with six minutes of music, so I don't go nuts.

No way I would/could have paid that much for it. Would love to hear it some day (even just once), but I don't need to own it.
