grey
There was an item this afternoon on CNBC that Michael Jackson's new CD which was released last week hit #1 in the UK yesterday. Despite recent revelations over here, his British CD sales have not suffered at all.
A Lark Ascending
This happened last year I recall when he was in a spot of bother. Can't recall over what.

JSngry
This happened last year I recall when he was in a spot of bother. Can't recall over what. I quote this merely to say that the phrase "a spot of bother" just seems REALLY cool to me. Much like recent hip-hop lingo, I could probably never actually say it myself without sounding totally stupid, but it sure sounds cool coming from the source. Seriously. A Lark Ascending
The odd thing is I'd not say it in real life except in the most ironic manner. I say, bulletin boards bring out the sheer class, nay, the very blue blood within one, what?

Philip
I don't recall it gaining any coverage on American websites (pacé the wider media), but Paedophiles have been the source of much hysteria in the UK; it isn't something the UK could be said to be lax about. In one notorious incident, the external walls of a Paediatricians apartmernt had the word Paedo sprayed on to it. AfricaBrass
Curious! Even if I wanted to buy that new greatest hits CD of his, I don't think I could. I'd feel guilty by association.

JSngry
What's the status of the Pete Townsend case? Haven't heard anything since the initial arrest.
