I don't know who is the Dorian's composer and to my knowledge, it is the first time that KD played this title.

I believe DORIAN was composed by Ronnie Matthews and was first recorded on the album CRACKLIN' by Roy Haynes which also features Ronnie Matthews on piano.

I knew that title seemed familiar. Since Ronnie Mathews is on both, we can assume it's his tune (the sample seems familiar but I'm too tired to listen to the Haynes CD). It seems the Haynes CD is from 4/10/63, so the live version actually precedes the studio version.

They are definitely the same tune. The Haynes LP is a long time favorite.
