diminished7thb5 Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 How would you classify this music? It's got Brain from Guns & Roses doing percussion, Kai Ekhardt who plays bass with John Mclaughlin but it's also got loops like hip hop! Curious what you would call it??? http://thevalenceproject.downloadsnow.net/ Quote

Brad Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Some weird stuff. The first cut is Bo Diddley's Who Do You Love. Any resemblance between the original and this group's interpretation is purely coincidental Quote
Free For All Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 diminished7thb5 Also, this makes no sense. Harmonically speaking. Quote

flat5 Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) A diminished 7 flat5 is a full diminished 7th chord. Three minor thirds on top of each other (doing the nasty). Or a dominant seventh flat9 chord in search of a root (to do the nasty). Harmonically it does make sense and is sometimes called diminished7. But the thb5 is redundant, as has been eluded to by the eminent Dr. Funkenstein. Edited January 22, 2010 by flat5 Quote

AllenLowe Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 the diddley isn't bad - why do they charge extra for a 96K download? better off with 24/44. Sounds just as good. Quote
