Van Basten II Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) Was posting in the What are you listening now thread and was adding an image of the cd i was listening but was not able to make appear the case where you add up the link but i've noticed that about every function (Emoticons and anything to jazz up the text) seems to be shut off. Am i the only one experiencing this ? Edited February 14, 2010 by Van Basten II Quote
Van Basten II Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Posted February 14, 2010 LOL I guess it answers my question regarding if someone else was in the same boat, now how the heck do I fix it ? Quote
Van Basten II Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) Seems it is back to normal But what is it that caused the problem in the first place Edited February 14, 2010 by Van Basten II Quote
Van Basten II Posted March 24, 2010 Author Report Posted March 24, 2010 Problems are back, emoticons are shut off, can't insert any any images while using IE. I fiddled with the compatibility to no avail. Quote
mikelz777 Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 (edited) Since the site was updated, it's been jenk for me too. I don't have problems with posting images or using emoticons but I have other issues. The box where you type text or post images is split horizontally across the middle by the tool bar. If the post is more than 6 or 7 lines worth of space, the cursor moves into the tool bar area and you can't see if or what you are typing. If you have a post of 6 to 7 lines worth of space and you need to edit it, you can't see any of the post that extends into the tool bar area and there seems to be no way to move the tool bar, scroll so you can see the whole post or expand the text area so you can see the entire post at once. It's a real pain. It's almost easier to type the post on Word, copy it and then paste it into the text box for the post. This is by no means an "improvement" for me. (I went back to try and edit the post and the top 2 lines are cut off and there is no way to scroll. When I hit the "use full editor" button, the tool bar appears through the middle and the bottom half of the post is hidden by the tool bar.) Edited March 25, 2010 by mikelz777 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Both of you are using Internet Explorer, aren't you? Quote

If you're using IE8, did you try the compatibility button next to the address bar at the top? IE7 doesn't have that button. Quote
mikelz777 Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 I have internet explorer as well. Do I need an updated version or have to tool around with it a bit? Another weird thing that has been happening is like Jim A., the admin's post above. I see the post and then there is black space that takes up about 3/4ths of the entire page. I think it just happens with the admin's posts but I have to scroll through about 3/4ths of blank page to get to the next post. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Update to the latest version of IE via Windows Update and then use the compatibility button Hans mentions above. Quote
