Lazaro Vega Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Last night we began a triology of Chicago tenor saxophonists on the "Jazz Retrospective" with the 81 year old Fred Anderson. Tonight we'll delve into the heavy bebop of the late great Johnny Griffin, including a focus on his music with Thelonious Monk, and Friday it's living legend Von Freeman. 10 p.m. - 3 a.m. over Blue Lake Public Radio, http://www.bluelake.org/radio (mac users please click the "shout cast" link which will open a stream in I Tunes). This sounds fantastic, Lazaro! I'll tune in tonight and try for tomorrow as well. BTW, the Night Lights "Chicago Calling" sequel is in the can, though I'm going to go back and revise the ending to add an Eddie Higgins track w/Paul Serrano...will be airing in early May. Quote
