The Magnificent Goldberg Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Sorry, I laughed. Couldn't help it. MG Quote
sonnymax Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 "don't laugh..." That's like putting a medium-rare charbroiled Kobe fillet in front of me and saying, "Don't eat it." Quote
BruceH Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 When I first read this on the internet, for a couple of seconds I was sure it must be an Onion story. Quote
sidewinder Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Ridiculous story I know but a tragedy for sure - he gave quite a bit of money to charity. The BBC reports were saying he 'fell off a cliff into the River Wharfe'. That's not the River Wharfe that I know. Quote

Christiern Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 A bit of a stretch just to move post count up a notch, don't you think? Nice audio, but better placed elsewhere. Quote

Jazzmoose Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I refuse to ride a Segway. I'm waiting for the release of the Non Sequitur. Quote

Free For All Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) A bit of a stretch just to move post count up a notch, don't you think? Nice audio, but better placed elsewhere. Song title, thread title... I know—that being all, it's a stretch. Imagine if we posted matching song titles for every thread title. What's the big deal here? The "non sequitur thread tangent" has been a frequent presence here for as long as I can remember, and IMO is often quite clever and entertaining- why has it suddenly become an issue? Are we getting all serious around here now? My respects to Jim Heseldsen for his achievements, may he rest in piece. But the way he went is so ironic that it's funny. You just know the comics are having a heyday with this. Edited September 28, 2010 by Free For All Quote
Jazzmoose Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Are we getting all serious around here now? Nah. Chris needed a new hobby and for some reason chose poking Jim with a stick. I guess stamps were too boring... Quote
JSngry Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Geez, you put a guy on ignore and you still see him in other people's quotes. Oh well. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 Yeah, a definite flaw in the system... Quote
Free For All Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 Geez, you put a guy on ignore and you still see him in other people's quotes. Oh well. For my part, I apologize. A bit slow on the uptake, but I think I've figured out what's going on. Quote
JSngry Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 No need to apologize, Paul. Saul Goode. Quote
