chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 i just got this 45 rpm and on one song, gene harris plays the celeste. its kind of startling to hear a celeste on a blue note record at first-- my q is, i dont have this lp, does he do that on the whole album, or just the single? brownie Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Just the single (Blue Bells). A BN celeste precedent... Meade Lux Lewis with the Edmond Hall Celeste Quartet (with Charlie Christian and Israel Crosby) back in February 1941. The session that produced Profoundly Blue and Celestial Express. Quote
