Delmark has released a new jazz album recorded just this past June called Tight Like This by trumpeter Brad Goode.

Goode is from Chicago, and maybe some of you there are familiar with him. In recent years he has been a college professor at the Univ. of Cincinnati and the Univ. of Colorado.

Goode is backed here by a piano, bass and drums trio. The playing is very solid, but nothing out of the ordinary. Of the eleven songs, five are Goode originals.

This is not-too-hard hard bop. It's good.

I like what I've heard by Brad, Goode's good. ......

You've got it Brad, and that ain't Goode..... :rhappy:

I played in Brad's quintet at the Green Mill in Chicago for most of the 90s. Cat can play, no doubt. Many great players sat in with that group including Von Freeman, Eddie Harris, Ira Sullivan and Linn Halliday, to name a prestigious few.
