Dan Gould Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 According to a certain blog that you first told me about, two tracks made it to Fantasy comps, but which two tunes I don't know. Quote
brownie Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 The two tunes were 'The Preacher' and 'Senor Blues'. The Prestige (Fantasy) CD release was entitled 'Opus de Funk: The Jazz Giants play Horace Siver'. The full session does not seem to have made it to CD. A shame! Excellent album that I am enjoying right now! Quote
kh1958 Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) She certainly had an impressive run of recordings for Prestige from 1958-64 and some rather productive days. mikeweil Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 The full session does not seem to have made it to CD. A shame! My thoughts exactly - Fantasy was totally ignorant about that one, as well as some other fine dates. Quote
