JSngry Posted February 15, 2011 Author Report Posted February 15, 2011 Ray Nance is always good! Found it on an album covers blog: http://nicealbumshameaboutthecover.blogspot.com/ No place else, yet... Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 (edited) Here's one on eBay (and another one, and ANOTHER one) -- and 2 or 3 more on Amazon that are a little bit more expensive. Edited February 15, 2011 by Rooster_Ties Quote

Christiern Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Sol wanted so much to be Benny—and, sometimes, he almost was. Quote
jazzbo Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 In a slightly more perfect world these would be a Mosaic Select. Quote
JSngry Posted February 15, 2011 Author Report Posted February 15, 2011 Assuming that they're actually as good as we want them to be... Quote
AllenLowe Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 (edited) Sol Yaged - is he still alive (which may dicate what I can say about him here)? he used to play for Jets games, I think; also, I went to hear Bill Triglia play with him one night at a Dixieland joint somewhere in Manhattan (The Red Garter? Can't remember). Except for Triglia the band was horrible - Bill told me that Yaged used to hire guys who owed him money so he wouldn't have to pay them. At one point Triglia, disgusted, started playing the piano with his shoe. Edited February 15, 2011 by AllenLowe Quote
JSngry Posted February 15, 2011 Author Report Posted February 15, 2011 Well, the odds are good. I'm looking at that lineup and leaning that way myself...Nance tips it for me. Quote
AllenLowe Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 (edited) can't go wrong with Nance - Yaged is Yaged but he is not a human being with whom I would want to share a space. Edited February 15, 2011 by AllenLowe Quote
