Durium Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 Although I'm not a 78rpm record collector to the letter, I love to have certain record labels in my collection, because they tell a story. I found an early Blue Note record, released as the first 10-inch by Alfred Lion, the founder of the Blue Note in 1939. An early Blue Note record Durium Quote

chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 pfffst, u think thats old? some dude posted on ebay an acetate of the 2nd bn session EVER. it was found at the san diego kobeys swap meet a few wks ago. looks almost unplayable. a more modern sticker is affixed to it saying what it is, but the disc is certainly old. i dont know if anyone won the auction.... JSngry Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 That pink label BN mentioned on Durium's blog..about 35 years ago, when there was only one Half Price in Dallas (or anywhere?), they had three copies of it on the shelves of a quarter each. Did I pick one, two, or even all three up? Of course not. DOH! Quote
