Hardbopjazz Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Does anyone here have this session? CADET LP 785. There's an eBay auction for this LP. Who is on this session? The auction claims Grant Green is guitar. Is Grant Green actually on guitar? I did send an email to the seller but haven't heard back yet. Edited January 1, 2012 by Hardbopjazz Quote

Hardbopjazz Posted January 1, 2012 Author Report Posted January 1, 2012 Thanks. Grant Green isn't on this session as the seller claims. Quote
J.A.W. Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 As mentioned in Marcello's post the Cadet reissue was edited, though I don't know in what way. Quote
Lazaro Vega Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Cha Bootie is fun. I'd bet "Full Moon" is Jug's "How High the Moon" a la the version he recorded with Woody Herman, though don't have it in front of me to double check right now. Quote
sonnymax Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Although this album is credited to "Jug And Sonny", Stitt only appears on one tune, and he's playing baritone. If you want music featuring both together from this period, it's better to stick with the many sides they cut for Prestige. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted January 1, 2012 Author Report Posted January 1, 2012 I was most interested in this because the seller listed Grant Green on guitar. Turns out it was a typo, the seller contacted me. Quote
