Brad Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 I only have one of his albums (on Timeless), Now Is The Time. Wonderful music with a bunch of heavies like Dexter, James Clay, Herb Geller, etc. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 (edited) He's an excellent player; I have a few records of his, including one w/ J.R. Monterose and Jon Eardley, and another early one with Dick Vennik. Edited October 24, 2012 by clifford_thornton Quote
JSngry Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 This is the guy who got Fathead & Marchel on the same session, right? Happy birthday, just for that! To him and who ever else's idea it might have been! Quote
paul secor Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 Happy Birthday! Feels good to pay tribute to someone who's with us and still going strong. Quote
Cyril Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 Today, Rein de Graaff turns 70! His favorite tune... Happy Birthday, Rein. Quote
Peter Friedman Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 I was fortune to see Rein play live at a couple of events put on by Ken Poston in California. Rein is a strong bebop oriented piano player who I like very much. I have most of his recordings on CD playing with a great variety of musicians. Quote
