The 56-foot dead whale had been on a truck headed for an autopsy at a university earlier this week, when gases from internal decay caused its entrails to explode in the southern city of Tainan. I wondered how long it would take for that much gas to build up inside---he said it took them 15 hours just to get it on the truck. Imagine...you're eating in a Taiwanese cafe'---then you see a whale on a truck trundle down the street---then it explodes! Life can be strange sometimes, no? Glad no one was hurt though. Quote
