I was looking at the credits to this Gil Evens session. My MCA/Impulse release lists Ron Carter on trombone. I first I figured it was a typo, but allmusic.com also has Ron Carter listed as playing trombone. Does Ron also play trombone? If so, are there any other recordings with him on trombone?

I've never heard of Ron playing trombone. I bet it's an error duplicated in allmusic from the Impulse release.

Those are typos. Ron Carter only played bass on this Gil Evans date. My hybrid Analogue Productions SACD lists the following personnel:
