RogerF Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 Sadly not Hum Dono however here's another of his which I never heard of until this week and is apprently due for re-issue later this month... ...out on an Australian label (The Round Table) and originally recorded in 1972 and included in the line-up Alan Branscombe, John Mayer (of Indo Jazz Fusions) and Ray Swinfield among others. On the vinyl it was just two tracks, one per side, but apparently worked very well. Looking forward to hearing this one. Quote
Head Man Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 Thanks for the heads-up, Roger! Quote
Jazzjet Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 Thanks for the tip, Roger. Pre-ordered just now! Quote
Homefromtheforest Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 It's already out! Preordered mine last month and received it yesterday...it's a nice pressing and sounds great. Not a terrific session but certainly worth having/hearing... Quote
clifford_thornton Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Need to grip the vinyl of this before it's gone. I've always dug the session but could never justify the price tag. Quote
sidewinder Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 (edited) It's good ! To my mind, more of a John Mayer session than an Amancio D'Silva session. Edited December 6, 2013 by sidewinder Quote
RogerF Posted December 9, 2013 Author Report Posted December 9, 2013 Update from Roundtable in Australia - this release has been delayed until early next year. Quote
sidewinder Posted December 10, 2013 Report Posted December 10, 2013 Update from Roundtable in Australia - this release has been delayed until early next year. They are probably non-stop partying after the cricket. Quote
Homefromtheforest Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 Well that's weird because I got my copy in the mail last week!? Quote
RogerF Posted December 11, 2013 Author Report Posted December 11, 2013 I don't understand why they said this (delay) unless there's a different distributor for the UK and there's a hold up in the supply there. Quote
