This is a very good recording with top musicians playing on this. As many know, the recording was created out of the tragedy of the death of his daughter in the New Town killings.

What I have heard has been musically more engaging than I expected it to be, to say nothing of the tragedy that inspired the work.

I personally wish I could listen to it without considering its inspiration. Since he is from my area I have met and spoken to Jimmy Greene many times since he graduated from Hartt. In addition to being a talented musicians, Jimmy and his wife are genuinely beautiful people. This particular tragedy had an impact on me. I have listened to the recording a couple of times and it is hard for me to objectively listen to it as a musical document on its own terms.
