Electronic Stylus Cleaner

Went to lunch with a bud in the HiFi biz and he handed me this to take for a spin. Audio Technica and Ortofon used to make similar devices but I've never tried either of them. Based on what I've seen with my loupe it certainly seems to do the trick... better than my usual regiment.

Yes, been using the Zerodust Onzow for years without issues. It also helps that I'll never play a record without cleaning it with my Nitty Gritty either..

Little "buzzy pad" stylus cleaners were popular circa 1980. I still have mine, virtually unused.

I am using a small chunk of Magic Eraser. As I understand it the key with the Magic Eraser is to drop the tip in and lift, no need to drag the Magic Eraser over the surface of the needle.

Does anyone know how to clean the cleaner itself? Mine is now covered in dusty.

Rubbing and rinse with demineralized water. I use a latex glove to avoid skins debris on the onzow, but only the days I am particularly anally retentive, usually I only wash my hand before.

Anyway I change them after some years of service because the material is getting less effective in capturing the dirt of stylus.

I apply plenty of deminaralized water during the process and gently rub with my finger, rinse again at the end. I let it dry before use, it works for me.
