Hardbopjazz Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I miss perusing through the isles and rows of vinyl records. Quote
mjzee Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I had a wonderful, quasi-nostalgic experience recently. I discovered Cactus Music in Houston. Huge selection of vinyl (both used and new - I found the Miles Davis "Enigma" 10" there), CDs, box sets, music-related books, paraphernalia, etc. While I was browsing, they played new releases on the store's sound system - that's how I heard tracks from the new Dylan Bootleg Series. It was a lovely shopping experience, and they even had other customers! Quote
HutchFan Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 Aren't there ANY shops where you live, Hbj??? There aren't many here in ATL. But there are a few that I visit regularly to get my "fix." Quote
clifford_thornton Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 Lots of record stores in the city and outlying areas. I've heard that there are a lot of nice spots upstate and by the lakes, too (car-less, so haven't done a digging tour). Quote
